Collection: Cute Critters, Wonderful Wildlife Art of Arizona USA

Artworks of Wild Desert Dwellers by Murray Bolesta Fine Art Prints!

My delightful collection capturing the charm and character of Arizona's wonderful desert mammals. Engaging wildlife wall art that brings the spirit of the Southwest's wild creatures to your walls! By me.

What Makes This Collection Special

  • My approach: I capture charming critters on camera by inching towards them until they flee, and then I back off too—a patient, respectful method that yields intimate portraits while honoring wildlife boundaries
  • Urban-wildland interface: Critters of the desert are just wonderful, and are everywhere, since here in Arizona, the wild outback often lies right against urban development, with little agricultural margin between—creating unique opportunities to photograph wildlife in their natural desert habitat
  • Diverse mammal portraits: Experience my desert fauna art through carefully composed wildlife photography

Southern Arizona's Mammal Diversity

Common desert mammals include coyotes, javelinas (collared peccaries, or wild pigs), cottontail rabbits, ground squirrels, and various bat species. Rarer treasures include bobcats, coatimundis, ringtails, kit foxes, and the occasional mountain lion or black bear wandering down from Sky Island ranges. The endangered Sonoran pronghorn and ocelot represent the region's most imperiled species, while Mexican gray wolves are slowly being reintroduced to their historic range. Even a Jaguar has been seen from time to time, coming up from Mexico, but probably not any more due to the new border wall.

Relish my poetry of desert wildlife through these carefully crafted fine art prints that transform any space into a celebration of Arizona's wild mammal heritage!
