West Coast Lighthouse Art – Heritage & Seascape Prints

Timeless West Coast lighthouse art—gallery-quality prints capturing nature and heritage by Murray Bolesta. My photographs reveal the dramatic beauty of these iconic sentinels with artistic finesse and reverence for their storied past.

Guardians of the Pacific Coast

West Coast lighthouses had their origins ing the Gold Rush era—the first, Alcatraz Light, was lit in 1854. As maritime traffic surged along the Pacific coastline, Congress authorized a chain of lights from San Diego to Cape Flattery, Washington. Landmarks like Point Reyes, Heceta Head, and Cape Disappointment saved countless ships from catastrophic wrecks on fog-shrouded rocks and shifting sandbars. Many remain active today.

My Tribute to Icons Worth Celebrating...

These magnificent structures represent irreplaceable American maritime heritage—architectural gems of enduring beauty deserving both preservation and artistic tribute.
