My gorgeous glacier lake picture with a sport boat! Glacial silt in the water creates the marvelous blue hue. This image was captured by me at Diablo Lake in Washington State, planet Earth! The National Park provides me with the following objective description: "The color of Diablo Lake is due to the glacial flour, or silt, that travels to the lake in the summer as the massive glaciers in Thunder Creek melt, and to a lesser extent as the spring flood erodes glacial sediment deposited throughout the watershed."
