The Glamis Dunes, part of California’s Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area, form a vast sea of golden waves at the southeastern edge of the Mojave Desert. Stretching for miles near the Mexico border, these towering dunes rise from the Sonoran lowlands, sculpted by relentless desert winds.
