Morgantown Glass West Virginia with Charles Zeller and Cadillac in Vintage Street Photograph

This unique vintage image is from Morgantown, West Virginia, captured by my late father-in-law Professor Jean Cazemajou in 1957. A well-dressed gentlemen stands in front of the office of “Chas. F. Zeller Manufacturer, Inc.”, a Morgantown, West Virginia glass manufacturer. Today, Zeller’s vintage glass balls from the 1920s and 30s are collected. An elegant Cadillac rests at the curb in the foreground. Is the gentleman Mr. Zeller himself? Yes! Is the car a bit too sporty to be his own? No! An obituary in the local newspaper notes Zeller's passing in 1959.

This picture is part of a book my wife Agnès and I are putting together with the working title "Midcentury Road Trip: Images from a French Family's American Adventure in the 1950s." She was a child during this trip. This photograph represents my passion for heritage photography. The original photo by Jean is on a color film slide which I rescued and expertly scanned and restored with painstaking faith to the original. The art print follows my principles of tender loving care outlined below.
